Shelling at the St Andrews State Park
Again this week, I've been having fun not digging but rather picking shells out of the sand dunes at the state park or along the shore line.

Pickin' and Grinnin'
This whole week almost every day, I've ventured down to the state park to pluck shells out of the water or out of the sand dune which is being washed away as we speak. It is fun in spite of the continual torment of the red tide which makes it hard to breath.
First, here's a video from yesterday:

Did You Loose a Couple of Pink Scallops?
Today early went to the state park and plucked several shells out of the clear, calm water as well as from the sand dunes and I found a lovely pink scallop. Then later in the day, I rode my bike to the same location and found another pink, lighter in color, scallop the same size. What in the world?? I can't help think that maybe an over zealous bride threw them in the water with her bouquet perhaps in a fit of delight? In any case, I am thrilled to have them both!

Found this one in the afternoon
The flies were ruthless, so left after a short time... thus my small afternoon collection
On display in my home

Shelling After Storms and with Pelicans
This is the fun time to shell... after the wind and waves have exposed seashells along the shore and in the dunes.
